I purchased this Arabic edition of the 1968 General Studbook, prefaced by Dr. Amin Zaher, last year from El Zahraa library, together with other English and Arabic stud books.
To my surprise, some Arabian horse breeders do not know that it is available for purchase!!! Mind you, it has not been translated into English, nevertheless it is worth having.
Happy New Year and it is a very good start for you with that wonderful purchase!
I have had it in my collection for a while, but not easy to find.
And very good to hear you managed to get more books. Important these books are safe.
I wanted to get back to you about your latest post, which I also liked.
However big sort of renovation in and around the house and guests staying and more coming, keeps me all rather busy.
I did find two nice Mamluk/Mamluck Carle Vernets recently. They have not arrived yet, so I hope they are not too damaged. I also found an article I wrote a very long time ago about Carle Vernet. Once I get more organized I will post foto’s of the prints and article.
And we will be in touch about the interesting Vernet family then too.
Take care. My mail will be dijkstra.claudia@wanadoo.fr from now on.
Warm regards from muddy and cold France! Claudia.
