At the Swiss Institute of Archaeology in Zamalek, I delivered a lecture on one of the equestrian traditions of Upper Egypt known as al-Mirmah to members of the Friends of Manial Palace Museum (FMPM). To learn more about the Manial Palace and FMPM, please click the link above.
The non-profit association is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Abbas Hilmi, a descendant of the House of Osman and the House of Muhammad Ali.
For the first time, I delivered a presentation to a general audience. In previous years, I had been accustomed to presenting my research solely to academics, which made this lecture unique. I shared my findings based on both the fieldwork I conducted and historical research. Additionally, I showcased some photographs I took during my travels in villages and at the al-Mirmah tournaments I attended.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Prince Abbas Hilmi and all the attendees for giving me this wonderful opportunity.
